Punycode.tools

Privacy policy

This policy explains how Punycode.tools (“we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the website and browser-based tools we offer. We designed the product so that routine use of the converters and checkers happens on your device, without you creating an account on our site.

What runs in your browser

Encoding, decoding, and analysis of the text you type are performed in your browser. That means the domain strings and URLs you enter are not sent to our servers solely because you use those features—we do not operate a separate “analysis API” in the current product that stores your pasted inputs on our side for normal tool use.

To improve your experience, the site may store small amounts of data locally on your device using browser storage (for example localStorage), such as:

  • • Saved conversion sessions and titles you choose to keep in the app’s history list.
  • • Your theme preference (light, dark, or system).
  • • Other small preferences the app stores locally for convenience.

You can clear this data at any time through your browser’s settings. We do not use it to build a cross-site advertising profile inside Punycode.tools because we do not run third-party advertising or behavioral analytics scripts in the application code for that purpose.

When you load the website

Like any site on the web, the network path between your device and our hosting may involve standard technical processing (for example routing, caching, or security). Our hosting or infrastructure providers may therefore create ordinary server or edge logs (such as IP address, request time, and user agent) as part of delivering pages and protecting the service. We do not sell personal information to data brokers.

Contacting us

If you reach out through our contact page, your message is composed on your device and sent using your own email application (for example via a mailto: link). We receive only what you choose to send in that email. Please do not include passwords, secrets, or sensitive personal data unless necessary; keep messages focused on support or feedback.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site may use minimal cookies or storage where required for basic functionality (for example theme or layout preferences). We do not use a mandatory cookie banner for third-party ad networks in the application as described above.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing. If you believe a child has provided us personal information inappropriately, please contact us via the contact page so we can review and respond.

Your choices and retention

Because much of the data stays on your device, your primary controls are your browser’s privacy and storage settings. Emails you send us are retained only as long as needed for the conversation or our legitimate operational records, unless a longer period is required by law.

International visitors

The Service may be hosted or delivered from infrastructure in various regions. By using the site, you understand that technical data needed to load pages may be processed where those systems operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
